i read online a couple weeks ago that if you put green onions in water and in the sun, that they'd grow. i decided to test it out... here's our last 5 days:

That's a really fun tip! Thanks! I saw a place in Boston called "Rino's Place" or something like that on the food channel (at the gym, ironically) and it looks to die for! You have to tell me if you check it out!!
THIS IS THE BEST. I completely love onions and our summer garden was a dream but I had no idea we could just grown them all winter! Love this winter garden idea. You guys have such green thumbs!
umm.. HELLO!!!! how does the whole world not know about this? Green onion sellers are in big trouble. can't wait to to try it. :)
