NE Aquarium

Today was AWESOME!! We recently got library cards and figured out that with these said cards, we can get free admission to things around Boston! The BEST! Free is probably my favorite word. SO! Since I start school tomorrow, we thought we'd take advantage and we went to the New England Aquarium today! We took the train there which is always amusing and started on our quest. We:

pet sting rays!! this is scott. he was much more brave than i was (naturally) but i did manage to pet one or two.

saw jelly fish. i have an odd fascination with them. i think they are so beautiful and can't quite get it my brain that they're alive! you can see right through them, how are they even functioning?!! God's creations are truly truly amazing!
in front of the penguins! they were soo darling and hilarious. we watched them probably for a good 30-45 mins.
SEALS!! this little guy jumped up to take a picture for me! i love him, he was so funny/energetic.
incredible fish everywhere we looked!
the most gigantic sea turtle!!! we were like little kids following it around and laughing/pointing whenever it did anything.
it even came up right next to scott's face and looked in his eyes. it was the BEST!
a second round with the penguins of course.

and a second time with the seals too. this time the seal was squeeling at scott.

at the train station on our way home
All in all it was a FABULOUS day!! We're now home heating up soup and cuddling up in bed because.. it's freezing. It snowed last night. Just a side story real quick-- on Sunday we had the missionaries over to dinner and we didn't want it to be to cold for them (we rarely ever turn the heat on) so we got home from church and turned on the central heater (which we've never done before here) and guess what it told us... our apartment was LITERALLY 54 degrees. FIFTY-FOUR people!! Needless to say, we heated it up to 68 and it was glorious. Anyways, hope you had a fabulous day! Love you all!

That's a pretty impressive library card. Here all you get is a pass to a really old smelly, small building and all the free dust and mold you can inhale while in said building. Love your quilts.

We are the same way with our heat!! So funny. :) I got a heating pad the other day and it helps keep me warm enough.

You changed your hair!?!? Or maybe it's just the camera... I love it either way. Did school start!? How's it going? Hope you are loving it again!
