hello all! i've been getting some comments that i need to update everyone on our life here in boston so, here it goes:
1. SCHOOL: i am now in the third week of my dental hygiene program and am doing really well! everyone thinks i'm soooo weird (idaho &nebraska are the same thing right? do you have electricy? yeaaaah.....) i love it though. all the girls &1 boy are so nice and i love them all already. it's so much work and i'm studying my bum off every chance i get, but it's paying off already and i'm getting good grades so, life is good on the dental front. scott's in the second week of his program and he likes it! he's taking three classes and his professors are american, french, and indian. there are more foreigners in his classes than americans and i'm so baffled at the diversity here. a sweet chinese girl in his group gave him (and the 2 other girls in his group) gifts today. i know. the best. i was so happy/excited when he told me. what was it you ask? a bottle opener with a chinese mask face on it. best.
2. APARTMENT: we are (almost) completely unpacked and put away. we are still searching the street corners for a free, gently-used couch to adorn our living room and are trying to find studs in this old building of ours to hang our bikes from the ceiling (yes, we have no storage space). we love our sweet little apartment though. it's a brick little fourplex. we haven't met our neighbors yet. we were walking up to our apartment one day and our neighbors across the hall were leaving. i said (so enthusiastically/friendly) HI! and the girl just looked at me (disgusted-like) and kept walking. i was so confused how one would be so rude to their neighbor. so, that's how we haven't really "met" our neighbors yet. and how i'm once again reminded, we're NOT in rexburg anymore.
3. ANNIVERSARY: we had our 2 year anniversary last monday. we spent all day unpacking &cleaning. so romantic, i know. then, that night, i found a little italian restaurant on the outskirts of boston that we went to. it was delicious and the owner (a native italian man) kept telling me how beautiful i was. so flattering/funny/weird. i loved it either way, of course. here's a couple pictures from the evening:
that's all i can think of right now so, i'll be done and head off to bed. love you all!
love the keller fam
