Swimming &Strawberries

Last Wednesday, we went to the beach out in Lynn, MA. It was 95 degrees that day and the beach was packed. The water was cold, but perfect for karate chopping and round-house kicking the waves on such a steamy day.

Thursday we went to Walden Pond where Henry David Thoreau wrote his book Walden. It's absolutely breathtaking!! We'd been there a few times before, but I'd never swam. It's surrounded by thick trees and the water is crystal clear and the temperature feels like heaven! We swam all the way out to the middle &could still see at least 20 feet down. Seriously GORGEOUS!! Oh and yes, it was 100 degrees that day &when we got back to our apartment it was 90 degrees. Steamy.

Friday, we went to the temple, did laundry and caught up on our housekeeping. Our usual life.

Saturday, we got back to partying it up and went to Concord with a few friends &picked strawberries! They were having a Strawberry Festival with a band, delicious food, and a pie eating contest (we left early &missed that last one but believe you me, I was seriously contemplating on entering. I mean, fresh blueberry pie for free that I get to stick my face in and lick off my nose? Sign me up!) It was perfect.

I want to go strawberry picking!!!!!!!!!!!! Why are Saturdays the only days we can do things?! It's so annoying. That only leaves like 12 fun days this summer. Life is hard :)

Just found your blog! So cute!

You'll have to go Blueberry Picking in Maine. The best picking begins at the end of July through the very beginning of September.

Ok, went strawberry picking for the first time (did it in IN) and the rows were not NEARLY so neat and tidy as yours. Also the sun was so big and bold making us so sweaty and I wore sandals and almost a dress thinking it would be so picturesque but instead was attacked by thistles. So glad you had such perfect rows!
