love.

Valentine's day. I know.. I feel silly posting about it because everyone is and it's so mushy and a little silly, but I just have the sweetest husband so I couldn't not. 

I had a long day at school (10 hours) and just finished seeing my second patient. I came home, and this is what I saw:

the note attached told me to don the clothes and come out when I was done. 

  I came out to a path of hand-cut hearts strewn across the floor and the smell of teryaki stir-fry (delicious!!!) I was led to the table under white christmas lights and served the most delicious meal made by the better chef of the home in my opinion. Notice that Scott made sure we matched (my most favorite thing to do with clothes)

I am seriously so grateful for such a sweet husband who is always caring for me and so thoughtful and loving. I forgot to mention, when I woke up valentine's morning, the kitchen had flowers and chocolate waiting for me. the best surprise at 6 am. Such a sweety that one. I'm positive I got the best of the bunch.. I don't know how, but I did.


On another note, this last weekend we decided to buy chalkboard paint and paint behind our sink. It's just a little strip and I've been wanting to do it for so long and Scott finally let me. Of course he's glad he did. Here's the finished product, we love it! 

now I can write love notes anytime I want. Perfect.
