fall is here

The past week and a half we have:

baked THREE pies. two apple (apples we picked from the orchard on campus!) and a pumpkin. and yes, my hair is indeed long enough to pull back into a half pony! i know, it's exciting.

painted little pumpkins we bought at the farmer's market after a delicious dinner together. scott's definitely won first place. the classic no leaf halloween tree=so pretty and perfectly done by him.

boo!

gone hiking to the wind caves! it's up right outside of driggs. we went with hannah and dave (my cousins), kathryn and maddie scott's cousin. it was about 7 miles round trip and so much fun! of course i was the only one who fell (twice) but the cave was huge and amazing and the scenery was absolutely breath taking with all the leaves changing and autumn coming.

 the pretty waterfall we passed.
how beautiful are these trees?!!! i'm literally obsessed with their gold beauty.

the big 'spud' we passed on our way home. only in idaho

well i hope you're all doing wonderful! have a great weekend.

Why is Scott secretly the best at everything? remember that one time you guys did something crafty out of the blue that I can't remember now and Scott was super excited and really good at it? I think it was before you were dating. I love the gold leaves too. You don't have to stop.

Wow- I feel like there is so much I could comment on with this post. First- Ashley, your hair is getting so long. That is exciting.
Your pumpkin craft has inspired me to do the same thing with pumpkins. What a great idea and it is something I can afford as far as decorations. Also, Marnie says she thinks Scott looks like dad, but I was thinking he looks like mom. He loves his crafts, mom would be proud. He looks like he is taking his painting very seriously, just like mom would have. I loved the leafless tree. I might do the same one. Kathryn's blue pumpkin is so funny and so typical Kathryn, totally random and crazy.
Your trip out to the wind caves looked so fun. We never made it out to the caves in all our years in Rexburg. Too be honest, looking at all these pictures of you guys having fun makes me sad. We want to be there doing all these things with you.
Oh also, your pies look beautiful and I bet they tasted just as delicious as they look. You guys look great and miss you so much. Love you guys.
