Scott and I bought a pumpkin the other day and I thought I'd be ambitious so I cooked it, pureed it, put it in bags to freeze, and then the next day, made a from scratch, pumpkin pie. Let's be honest, it wasn't as good as Libby's. They do it right there. But it was pretty delicious and I'm glad we tried it. We still have about 20 cups in our freezer that I'm trying to figure out what to do with.
This last weekend was Halloween. Friday we volunteered at the elementary school in Rigby and ran a Bingo Booth [it was such a hit and the kids were the cutest]. We dressed up as [really] scary zombies. Then Saturday, I went trick-or-treating for canned food [in Husker wear of course] and we're donating it to a food drive this week. Life is good and we love married life :)

What a great idea to trick-or-treat for the food bank. I'll have to tuck that nugget away for future needs. Sounds like a ton of work freezing the pumpkin - pumpkin muffins, pumpkin bread, pumpkin pancakes, pumpkin cream cheese (yummy on pumpkin bagels) pumpkin waffles, pumpkin cookies, pumpkin smoothies, hum . . . what else??? Oh, pumpkin soup, the list goes on and on. Such a cute post. Love you.
Of course you cooked a whole pumpkin in its entirety. You two are the cutest! Really. I love it. And your zombie dress/outfit is very fitting [in an elegant b&w sort of way] for halloween.
I did that once with a pumpkin! I was amazed with how much it made I think I was making pumpkin pie for days. Your right, Libby's is the best, way easier too!! You guys are so cute!
